Pannotia
Named Pannotia by Dalziel, 1997, and sometimes loosely referred to as the "Vendian supercontinent",
this was a late Neoproterozoic
Supercontinent that evolved from Rodinia (Dalziel, 1991). . According to Dalziel, Pannotia resided in the Southern Hemisphere. Pannotia underwent rifting into smaller components during latest Neoproterozoic time, one of the largest being Gondwana. Parts of it continued to assemble during the Cambrian, while breaking apart in others regions. The three main daughter continents were Gondwana, Laurentia, and Baltica (at the time mostly submerged by shallow sea)
