Transportation

There are Horde and Alliance flightmasters in the city of Gadgetzan.

When going by land, most players enter from Thousand Needles, to the north. A few Alliance players wishing to avoid Horde territory choose to swim along the coast from Thermadore.

There is a path to Un'Goro Crater on the southwest edge of the desert. Players can also jump off the cliffs on the western edge of the desert, but they'll be killed unless they have some way to slow their fall.

Towns and Settlements

Gadgetzan

Gadegtzan is a neutral town, open to both Alliance and Horde. It has all the amenities of a normal town: inn, mailbox and flightmasters. It also has a bank (connected to the banks in the capital cities) and a neutral auction house.

The auction house is the only way to buy items that are normally available only to the other faction. Because of it's higher commissions and lower number of users, it is less popular than the faction auction houses. It is not connected to the faction auction houses.

Steamwheedle Port

Steamwheedle Port is a small cluster of buildings on the northwest coast of Tanaris. It has numerous quest givers, and most of the quests can be accomplished in Lost Rigger cove, to the south.
