Because of Duskwood's status as a contested territory and its proximity to Grom'Gol Basecamp, Alliance players must be on guard against Horde incursions, which happen frequently on PvP servers.

Transportation
Elwynn Forest and Westfall are easy to get to by swimming the rivers that separate them. Deadwind Pass and Stranglethorn Vale can be reached through passes in the mountains to the east and south respectively.
The only flightmaster in the area is located in Darkshire. Many characters who are adventuring in the western part of Duskwood use the flightmaster in Sentinel Hill.

Beggar's Haunt
The Horde has a small outpost in the far eastern section of Duskwood.
Darkshire
The town of Darkshire consists of an inn, a town hall, a smithy, two commercial buildings, and several houses.
The flightmaster in Darkshire is located to the northeast of the town square, just up the hill.
NPCs
Stiches
Stiches is a level 35 undead elite who travels from Ravenwood to attack the town of Darkshire. He emerges from a metal box near the hut of Ambrocobie the hermit on the northeastern corner of Ravenwood Cemetery. It is unknown whether he is related to the "Bride of the Embalmer" quest or if he emerges at set times. Once he emerges he travels south to the main road, then east toward Darkshire. During this time the town crier in Darkshire announces that something is coming. The nightwatch NPCs battle him twice, once near the Nightwatch camp and another time along the road closer to Darkshire.
He's usually defeated by an ad-hoc group of players composed of anyone who happens to be traveling along Duskwood's main road. He drops an item called Stiches' Femur, an off-hand item (usable by any class) that has 50 armor.
