Blast Corps |
|
A runaway carrier loaded with nuclear nitroglycerine is on an auto-piloted course through some of the most densely populated parts of the world. The slightest jolt will set off a thermonuclear explosion. It's up to the elite combat construction team, the Blast Corps, to use its arsenal of heavy machinery to clear a path for the deadly payload. It's a race against time as the carrier plows relentlessly through the wasteland you've just created out of steel, brick and concrete buildings. [Nintendo]

GamePro
When it comes to video game destruction for brains and brawn, Blast is definitely the master.

Nintendojo
An instant classic.

IGN
Blast Corps never denies that it is primarily a video game, and that is very refreshing. A great first generation game that shows off Rare's potential and game-making skill.

Electric Playground
Blast Corps is a cartridge worth it's weight in explosives. There's no game like this available for any other console but something tells me, we'll be seeing plenty of copy cats in the future.

Hot Games
The original premise, varied situations and fresh gameplay means that Blast Corps is like nothing you've experienced before. The biggest shame about Blast Corps is that it seems destined to be the most under-rated classic Nintendo 64 game.

Total Video Games
The orginality is definitely here, and the fun and excitement is also packed into this game.

Blast Corps stands tall with not so much as an attempt to recreate its addictive game play and charm. With intelligent puzzles, good fast action, and a huge variety of things to do (like blow things up), you can't help but to fall in love with this game. [Jan 2005]

Electronic Gaming Monthly
It's like playing witih explosive-laden Tonka trucks, with no mess to clean up afterwards. [Jan 2004, p.189]

TotalGames.net
A riotous arcade experience structured to provide massive, total addiction. The 'just-one-more-go' syndrome is impossible to resist.

GameSpot
In this frighteningly entertaining new cart, developers Rare have gone all out, combining nuclear weapons, giant robots, construction vehicles, AND load motor noises in one title. The results are spectacular.

All Game Guide
If it seems you don't get your money's worth in videogames anymore, Blast Corps is truly exceptional value. Three words: original, addicting, and challenging. There's no game quite like this in the 32/64-bit generation.

Nintendorks
A refreshing aspect of Blast Corps is that it involves replayability within the game. Once you finish a level the first time, you need to go back and finish it again and again.
