The Roots: Gates of Chaos is a 3D action role-playing game set in a fantasy world of Lorath. Being a prequel to the original The Roots game for the PC and Xbox platform, Gates of Chaos will invite you to participate in a whole new adventure one thousand years before the events in the original game. Gates of chaos provides unforgettable experience of fast and dynamic combat, combining real time arcade approach with an easy and efficient usage of different charcater abilities. A lot of attention was devoted to the development of the multiplayer, which offers both a competitive and cooperative mode of play. [Nokia]

With an awesome array of characters to choose from and a lot of controls and commands (seemingly) to learn at the beginning, The Roots: Gates Of Chaos feels overwhelming. It is in no way a short-lived experience; you can easily rack up 60 hours of gameplay, levelling ever upwards in a seemingly endless world of magic, beasts and fantasy action.

Armchair Empire
A good effort and offers some depth and since it’s really the only titles in its genre – action RPG – it’s a good choice if you like the genre and only have an N-Gage. And if you don’t mind the graphics.

It takes a lot more than some button-mashing and a decent hub village to make a good game. There is next to no polish on any aspect of The Roots.
