Raviraj displays his Neo-Realism paintings

If you thought art is all about trying to decipher the meaning of circles and rectangles, this one promises to be different. Raviraj will exhibit his paintings on Neo-Realism that deals with the ordinary and the mundane and which everyone can relate to.

Raviraj, who has received two National awards for his works, will present his paintings at Jayams Hall, Race Course from January 14 to 16 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The neo-realistic style of painting marks a return to the realistic method of rendering and many contemporary Indian artists have chosen this style of expression. This style is based on the methods imparted to the students of European Art Schools in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Raviraj has authored 15 books on art and is a recipient of the Ovia Kalaimamani Award.
