What do brazilians think about the indians?

The Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion (IBOPE) carried out a national poll, requested by the Socio-Environmental Institute (ISA), about what Brazilians think of their indigenous peoples. It is the first poll on the subject in Brazil. Two thousand men and women were heard by IBOPE between Feb 24 and 28, 2000, expressing Brazilians opinions over those matters right before the celebration of the 500th year of "Descovering of Brazil".

ISA has participated in the question formulation and elaborated the present result analysis.
