PhysX Upgrade, at 7:30 PM on Feb 15 the only issue with this is if the gpu is running physics and graphics one or the other is going to take a hit and both are incredibly resource intensive. Even running SLI I dont see a clear benefit to adding this feature to current cards...now maybe if they put another gpu on the board just for physics then we would see a benefit for both graphics and physics but how much more would they end up charging? i wont play a game on pc unless it can run at least 1280x1024 and if at all possible 70hz...which is why I havent bought a pc game in about a year. I have SLI 7800 GTX's, top of the line for a little chunk of time and even running together (in xp) with no AA I still had a hard time getting a decent frame rate in FEAR so adding something else for the card to do isnt exactly the greatest of ideas...also wouldnt the game have to support the aegia driver/code base for this to work at all? more »
