I sold my Wii to get a 360, and the one thing I feel regret over (beside the upcoming Brawl) is not getting to play Metroid now. Mario Galaxy was not the game that reviewers and many fans made it out to be. It was the game everyone was waiting for...and thats it. more »

I suggest a few simple things... Mario 64 II (sequel with the same engine) Chrono Trigger (remade by Level 5) Super Mario RPG (remade by Square/Enix) Metroid Dread (please Retro?) I would have more, but they're already doing remakes of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Fire Emblem. Which will all only add fuel to this ungodly fire. more »

Honestly, I would say I would love to see some multiple styles of integrated gameplay but every time Square tries to veer even slightly from dull as dishwater rpg mechanics they seem to fail miserably. Fortunately, this is a Tri Ace game and I am still pretty hopeful that as such it won't be your typical Square title, and will have the kind of enjoyable gameplay that I have come to expect from Tri Ace over the years. Lackshmana commented on 300 The First Successful Video Game-Styled Movie, at 9:21 AM on Dec 27 The movie was a spiritual follow up to Sin City, and the reason people saw it was because they put together a really intense trailer that actually eclipsed the popularity of the movie itself. And because people were familiar with the story, or liked Sin City, or comic book movies, or historical movies, or action movies, or they were just bored. Trying to divine that this is somehow a 'video game' movie and that is how it drew crowds is absurd and just shows the typical lack of knowledge that tends to come from people that make blanket statements like this. I think the reason is more complex than that, but I would say that this is the type of oblivious reaction that people make when they are out of touch with a culture. Few films attempt to emulate the actual visual presentation of comic books, and this film used that method (pioneered by Sin City) to genuinely embrace the artistic value of the original medium. more »
