Lara herself is well designed and animates superbly, whether it be while shooting a gun, traversing treacherous mountain ledges or swimming through violent rapids.

The fact is that Tomb Raider for the PSX/Saturn looks like a 64-bit game on a 32-bit machine. It is incredibly good (revolutionary, in fact).

One of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are superb, the gameplay out of this world. The sheer number of moves that Lara can perform is staggering.

But be warned, this game is horribly difficult early on and it will take even the most capable gamesplayer an age to complete.

Absolute Playstation
If they sharpen up the graphics and provide fitting music then a ten out of ten is probable. Sheer class.

Charlie W. gave it a10:
The defenitive third-person shooter. Simply marvelous. I've been playing it since I was six.

Rob gave it a10:
This game is quite simply an all time classic. While the graphics aren't much to shout out about now, they were revolutionary when Tomb Raider was first released around ten years ago. The level design in the game is stunning, especially level three's T-rex which chases you after you've jumped from the high rocks into the pool below. Sadly, Tomb Raider's designers decided to give the game a more urban feel from Tomb Raider three onwards (Tomb Raider two had Venice, which was nice), and that lost the magic that made Tomb Raider such an engaging game to play. I want to raid tombs, not prance around London.

Lily P. gave it a 10:
AMAZING! Every gamer should play this game. It has so much to offer. However, TR will feel outdated to new gamers who haven't experienced and enjoyed games on the older PS.

Mark L. gave it a 9:
I believe that if you haven't completed this game then you should bow your head in shame!!
