In my humble opinion:

The best one is definitely Zavet... Without a doubt...

The second best is Lejla Hot - Ti si tu...

Then come Jelena Tomasevic and Zoe Kida

I think this might just be the order...

"Tresla se gora, rodio se mis"
That's my impression of "Oro".
Actually this song is more similar to "Lejla" than to "Jutro" or some other Zeljko Joksimovic's songs, because it's mild, soft and not that dramatic.

My personal favourite is song "Beli jablan". Unfortunately the guy who's singing that song is uncharismatic and I don't believe he could perform it well.

I find "Zavet" as even improved version of "Molitva" because it sounds more optimistic and not like a graveyard symphony which "Molitva" in my opinion was.

No other favourites in this year's Serbian NF. I prefer Romanian Selectia Nationala that offers much more quality and variety.

Hehe, I didn't mean to be mean about Zavet. These are all nice and lovely girls with a lot of credit behind them who work well together as a combo, this shouldn't be taken as anything personal. But I found the whole concept horribly contrived to begin with, well meaning though it was, even more so now that someone's turned up to show them precisely how it's done (Zeljko & Jelena). My personal favourites may be elsewhere, but it's so clear to me that Oro is the hot stuff for this year, all considered. :)

@ Darko, I don't think you can objectively say that one is better than the other, it's all a matter of personal preference (as all in ESC ;))... They are ballads in different styles, and both good. Obviously, I don't understand the lyrics though, so I can't comment based on them. ;)

I agree, Darko - though I wouldn't be so mean to Zavet. It's as deep as most western entries tend to be, hahaha.

I can't wait to see what the opening and half-time shows will be like. I have a feeling I could be sitting watching rolling my eyes or truly happy, it could go either way. :D

Zavet i think is too similar to Molitva from last year... Oro is a bit different and should be the entry for Serbia this year.. all the other songs i cant see have any international appeal that might gain any points at all in the esc final....

To be honest " Oro " and " Zavet " are the favourites but when you compare tham to " Molitva " they sound really really bad....Nothing can be better than that song....
MY favs Cveta and Betty Boop good luck let the best one win :D

* Darko-I really love your words...and agree with your line of thoughts.
Oro is the reason I would go to Belgrade -A unique composition performed by a very talented vocalist...
Please Europe send good songs and not jokes!!!
I still want to believe it is a contest for songs and not for stupid jokes that undermines the contest...
Yelena- my love and devotion goes to you and your songs.Go and complete what you startes in 2005...
Oro-to win it all!!!

I think Oro is an absolute favourite to win and that would have been so even if they were drawing the running order from a transparent bowl. It's silly, really, nobody believes Jelena will sing last on purely hap-hazard grounds. This engineering (if indeed that's what it was, benefit of the doubt, mind you) is completely superfluous.

I must also say (without rooting for Oro) that it is in every imaginable sense in a different league to "Zavet". Compared to Oro, Zavet and everything about it is pretty laughable (especially the execrable drum'n'bass bit at the end). The lyrics are insufferably literal too compared to Oro. What nobody is readily willing to admit is that Zeljko has vastly matured as a songwriter, and Jelena's performance is nicely understated compared to the all out wailings of "Jutro", which might have been good for 2005 but don't hold much water compared to Oro. Judging by international fansite reactions it's a clear favourite to win BVZ and a strong candidate for the second consecutive Serbian victory at the ESC.

Well, both Jelena Tomasevic and Beauty Queens can sing very well live, in fact Jelena's live singing is amazing.

I'm rooting for Lejla Hot - it's a tribal thing. Allah'u'akber! :D Just kidding. Her songs always bore me to death. I suppose Oro is my favorite so far - but we have to see who can sing live first. Remember Ana Nikolic last year? Hahaha...
