Flemish broadcaster VRT has published audio snippets of the five songs taking part in the third heat of Eurosong 2008, the Belgian selections for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. In cooperation with Belgovision.com we introduce you to Sunday's candidates: Ellis-T, Tabitha Cycon, Di Bono, Nelson and Geena Lisa.

01. Ellis-T - My music

Ellis-T takes part in Eurosong 2008 with My Music. The song was written by Regi Penxten, the musical brain behind the hit machine of Milk Inc. and several other dance projects. Ellis-T was created especially for this song and for the Belgian selections for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

02. Tabitha CyconRumour has it

Tabitha Cycon takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Rumour Has It. The song was written by Marc Paelinck and Marwenna Diame and sounds like pop and gospel at the same time. Tabitha doesn't take part in a singing contest for the first time. Five years ago, she competed in the first edition of Idols in Flanders.

03. Di Bono - I'm not sorry

The group Di Bono takes part in Eurosong 2008 with I'm Not Sorry. The song was written by the group's front man Frederic Di Bono together with Liset Alea, a Colombian-American friend. Fred mainly got known as husband of television host Evi Hanssen and as singer of rock group Silverene.

04. Nelson - If I can't find love

Nelson takes part in Eurosong 2008 with When I Can't Find Love. The song was written by Nelson Moraïs himself. Eurosong 2008 won't be Nelson's first Eurosong appearance. In 2004 he accompanied his sister Elsie Moraïs on the stage of Eurosong as backing singer for the song Amore Loco.

05. Geena Lisa - Wheel of time

Geena Lisa takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Wheel Of Time. The song was written by the duo Dutoit / Barbieux and by Geena Lisa herself. Yves Barbieux is the leader of Urban Trad, the group which represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, where they finished second with Sanomi.  Visit the official Eurosong 2008 website to listen to audio snippets of the songs taking part in the third heat of Eurosong 2008 and cast your vote in the poll on Belgovision.com.

Last year the Walloon broadcaster submitted the entry LovePower which was performed by the KMG's and finished 26th in the semi final getting 14 points - 12 of them from debuting country Georgia. The last time an entry by the Flemish broadcaster reached the top 10 was back in 1977! In 2008, Belgium will take part in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.

WOW @ Ellis-T!!! The song sounds like a dance hit straight from the charts. This is exactly what Scooter and Twenty 4 Seven (and several other dance/trance acts) are producing right now. Jumping style in Eurovision!! Thank you Regi!!!!

@max and ws. maz yes you mentioned kate ryan theirby my answer. ws, yes as a matte rof fact magical sensation is swedish made... BUT i dont like the song for that reason i liked it even before i knew about its origin. but im not going to continue this discussion with you WS you have a history of picking fights and arguments with a bunch of people... and im not going to be a part of a meta-discussion with you.

Ishtar simply HAS to win for Belgrade. This is the only way for us to have (for once) a truly original song (and another top 3 placing for Belgium after Urban Trad)! Best of luck, can't wait to hear it in Belgrade!

Now I get it. "Magical sensation" is Swedish. That explains Zingo's reaction.

I think it will be a very boring evening...

@ zingo
Eh, I've brought A BUNCH of other examples...
I didn't even mention Xandee - I think you answered to w s?

@max, the simple explanation to belgiums quite bad results with xandee and kat eryan are that their singing skills wasnt good at all. xandee was out of tune and so was kate ryan, ryan also lacked in personality on stage,,,....

@ zingo
Do you really see similarities between Katy Satyn and Ruslana?

btw.: Me too, I think we heard this kind of music often enough. Swedish-styled music don't do really good, except Sweden itself is sending that...
Think of Belgium's Kate Ryan, Slovenia's Anzej Dezan, Estonia's Suntribe, Bosnia-Herzegowina's Feminnem, Norway's Guri Schanke, Denmark's DQ, Estonia's Sandra Oxenryd, Portugal's Nonstop, Malta's Fabrizio Faniello, Ukraine's Olexandr, Latvia's F.L.Y. and so on and so on...
All of them were classical, typical Eurovision-music and each one failed to reach a higher position...

@ws, xandee and kate ryan? first of all both Xandee and kate ryan had two totally different songs(also from each other). and second of all magical sensation IS a kind of song that will do good in eurovision has some similarites to ukrains entry in 2004.

w s [29210]

You want an argument: Xandee and Kate Ryan got nowhere with similar songs. And not only those two, every other attempt by any country except Sweden failed badly.

Michael UK - Yes, it is the same Geena Lisa from the ESC 2002 ! I like her song, but Ishtar and Katy are good too. One of these three should win - if there isn`t a stronger entry in the last semi next week.

Zingo, this is not about MF, this is about Eurosong. And please bore someone else with your jellous accusations.

Nothing good this evening...
Just Ellis T is less bad than the others.

And I repeat Ishtar's song is a big grap and no chance has to qualify for the final in Belgrade.

i really have this feeling of that carola and andreas will fail in Melodifestivalen next weekend not totally bu only go to the second chance round and thats a failure for carola. i think that would be refreshing for the competition. ggooooo ola and sanna nielsen instead!!

Katy Satyn's song is exactly the kind of crap that western europe sends again and again, without any decent result. Only Sweden gets away with this kind of music. I'm sure Belgium will fail again with "Magical sensation". And I won't feel sorry then. Please Flanders be a liitle daring.

I like Ishtar, although I think Katy Satyn should win. And NO Tanja Dexters!

Femme fatale had the only song that was really special! If she is not there than Ishtar for victory! I hope Femme Fatale gets a wildcard.
