Belgium: the results of the second quarter final
The results
To the semi finals:
- Ishtar - O julisi na jalini
- Tanja Dexters - Addicted to you
Possible second chance wildcard:
- E.F.R. - Your guiding star
- Kenza - Breaking all the rules
Eliminated:
- Esther - Game over
The third and fourth placed songs are in the running to get one of the jury wild cards. The fifth plced song is out of the competition for good.
Last year the Walloon broadcaster submitted the entry LovePower which was performed by the KMG's and finished 26th in the semi final getting 14 points - 12 of them from debuting country Georgia. The last time an entry by the Flemish broadcaster reached the top 10 was back in 1977! In 2008, Belgium will take part in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.

You can't expect that every viewer of "Eurosong" is a specialist. They just vote for what they like, not for the one they think would do good in Belgrade. So don't blame the Belgians for songs you don't like.
Sure Yavoda but I think La shakra (second in 2006) was better than Kate.
I hope a good song for us this year but sorry i don't like Ishtar!

Ishtar were great - they can not be compared to former ESC acts - they are unique ! Tanja Dexters sung badly, the song is a very weak Helena copy ( a insult to even compare this with Helena ) and the performace was plain silly : A gay kiss ? Please, who's shocked by this in the year 2008 ? A cheap way to get votes from the gay community - as if it wouldn't like G 
on c*ap anyway. So bad, so sad, so pathetic, so poor. Can`t no one stop this man ?
@Alex A. - Yes, I guess there'll be a " Eurosong " CD again this year.
Help us to pay a tribute to the tragically deceased singer Tose Proeski during the semi-finals or final Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.

Yeah Jacques, but Kate is a fantastic artist. However I would have prefered her entering with a real dance song instead of the Swedish retro song.

Gert,I am not absolutely for the Swedish music but only for beautiful songs. Eva was the best for me and it was not Swedish music.
And I do not say that Dexter or Katy is fantastic but only less bad than the others....
Minskaja Your Kate Ryan...was also Swedish music in 2006 and not original at all and you said she's "fantastic" (You use this word too much I find,Flemish people is fantastic too for you...Ha,ha..)

Jacques, I know the Netherlands has been doing rock bottom, and I actually agree on Europe for doing that. What did cause us to do so? SWEDISH SOUNDALIKE SONGS!!! Same for Belgium! Björn from ABBA even advised Belgium not to sound like ABBA. We'll probably send Swedish again this year, and so I want to prevent that to happen in Belgium. I thought Belgium learned enough about Swedish soundalikes already after the catastrophe in 2006. Seems not.
Ishtar is Global Kryner (Y así 
meets Treble (Amambanda) and we all know how they fared in the semifinal...
Dusart, countries should sent songs that are NOT for eurovision. They're original in that way.

Katy and Tanja are Melodifestival leftovers. Why should Belgium sent swedish second rate music ??? We should sent something original like shtar or Femme Fatale. Being different, being original is the key to succes, not try to sent something what you think will please the biggest crowd....

Ishtar's song is totally awful,for the moment tanja Dexters is the best choice.

Katy or Tanja scoring well in ESC will not happen... why do all schlagers outside Sweden do badly? No damn schlager did anything in Europe from outside Sweden! Ishtar is such a deep breathe of relief, GO ISHTAR!

Katy Satyn and Tanja Dexters - come on, that's nothing original, we have heard that so often... Brahim had a much better song in 2006 with P.O.W.E.R., this year he wouldn't do well for Belgium....
I really hope that O Julissi Na Jalini will represent Belgium in Belgrade - this would be along with Germany's Cinema Bizarre finally some originality in a field of outdated old-fashioned rather dull Eurotrash...
I am liking Ishtar's song, but not for Belgrade. In my view Katy is still the best!
belgium , this year so far .you have pick only one good song .lets hope for better in next two semi's .ISHTAR if this wins belgium don't bother next year .
