JESC: Opening party with a splash!

All seventeen entries of the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest were officially presented to the press and delegations during the traditional Opening Party held yesterday evening at the Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam.

The Opening Party was hosted by 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest hosts Kim-Lian and Sipke Jan and it was highlighted by Chipz! who performed Make A Big Splash, especially made for the contest. After having a great time at the party, where all the participants got to know each other better and presented their entries to the press and delegations, the children got to work today to record the video postcards which will be aired before each performance during the final on Saturday. They also recorded One world, the special song to be performed by all children on the Ahoy Arena stage.

Georgia, Belgium, Armenia, Cyprus, Portugal and Russia will be rehearsing today until 18.45 , followed by a joint dance rehearsal of One World. The full rehearsal schedule for toda is as follows:

13.45 - 14.30 Georgia rehearsal, Ahoy Arena
14.30 - 15.15 Belgium rehearsal, Ahoy Arena
15.15 - 16.00 Armenia rehearsal , Ahoy Arena
16.30 - 17.15 Cyprus rehearsal, Ahoy Arena
17.15 - 18.00 Portugal rehearsal, Ahoy Arena

By the way, why was there no mention here on ESCTODAY of the Nordic Song Contest for kids that was held in Oslo recently? Censorship?

jESC will continue because there are enough number of broadcasters who are willing to patricipate.
Yes,it's true that the number of participants won't reach to the ESC but after an ESC even with xillion countries participating it's cute to have contests with only 17-18 participants like jESC and EDC.

I won't be watching this. It should be discontinued. All those poor children are just being abused. The Nordic countries did the right thing when they pulled out and made their own, FRIENDLY version of the Junior Grand Prix.
