Announce Winners of "What if New York City..." Competition to
Design Urban Housing for Use After a Disaster
Mayor Bloomberg and Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Commissioner Bruno
today announced the winners of the "What If New York City…"
post-disaster housing design competition. The competition began in September
2007 and challenged entrants to create innovative temporary housing solutions
for the thousands of New Yorkers who might be displaced in the event of
a catastrophe.

Mayor Bloomberg Launches Remix: Recycling Magazines is Excellent!
Mayor Bloomberg today announced the New York City launch of ReMix - Recycling
Magazines is Excellent! - a national public education campaign aimed at
increasing residential recycling of magazines and catalogs. Beginning next
week, ReMix promotions will appear across New York City, in full-page public
service advertisements in consumer magazines including TIME, Cosmopolitan,
Country Living and Sports Illustrated as well as on buses and subways, in
movie theatres, on cable television, and in other outlets.

Mayor Bloomberg Presents $58.5 Billion
FY2009 Preliminary Budget
Mayor Bloomberg today presented his Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 Preliminary Budget
and an updated four-year financial plan for the City of New York. The City's
FY2008 budget and the preliminary $58.5 billion budget for FY2009 are both
in balance. As part of the budget presentation, the Mayor announced that
agency spending reductions and revenue actions will realize nearly $1.5
billion.

Mayor Bloomberg Releases 2005 Campaign
Accountability Report
Mayor Bloomberg today released his third Campaign Accountability Report,
showing that nearly a year and a half after Election Day 2005, 96% of the
