Mayor Bloomberg and Super Bowl champion Giants Rich Seubert (OL) and
Michael Matthews (TE) today delivered food and footballs won in the
Super Bowl wager to City Harvest and the Department of Youth and Community
Development (DYCD) for distribution to soup kitchens and youth sports
programs across the city. The food, which was shipped overnight through
a FedEx donation, was transferred to City Harvest, a nonprofit organization
that collects and delivers excess food from restaurants and manufacturers
to local soup kitchens and food pantries.
