Historic Documents from the City of New York
City Hall Library maintains a collection of approximately 250,000 agency reports and studies dating back to 1913. The Municipal Archives preserves and makes available the historical records of New York City municipal government, dating from the early 17th century to the present. This also includes historic birth, death, and marriage certificates.

Auctions Held by the City of New York

You can contact every City agency and dozens of administration officials by email. They Mayor also has a contact form, and by dialing 311 (212 NEW YORK outside of NYC) you can access hundreds of services and file complaints.

Government Reports and Studies
Local Law 11 of 2003 requires that all City agencies post publications to the Department of Records Web site. An additional 250,000 items (some dating back to the 17th century) are housed at City Hall Library, which has been the repository for City reports and studies since 1913.
