Email the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Gordon Brown; image copyright: Reuters You can use our website to send an email to the Prime Minister on the issues that matter to you most.

Important, please note!

The PM receives many thousands of letters, faxes, and emails every week. So unfortunately it is not practical for him to respond to all of your messages.

However, all emails received are read by staff in Downing Street.

If the content of your message is private or personal, or you would like to be sure of a reply, you should write in confidence to Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street, London SW1 2AA.

After sending your email message you will be sent an automated return email from us asking you to confirm your message by clicking on a link. This process allows us to confirm that the message has come from you and that we have your correct email address.

Some email systems may filter automated messages into a junk mail folder, so please make sure you look out for our verification message.

If you are ready to send your message to the Prime Minister, please choose a subject from the following list.
