After flying to the US with an associate of LeHah, Valley suited up and went hunting. LeHah's agents attacked the woman and child who'd traveled with Valley. Azrael took all but one down, who reported back to LeHah. St. Dumas, coming to Azrael in spirit form, ordered him to slay the woman - she knew his secret. Ludovic visited his son, Jean Paul, in Gotham City. Azrael attacked LeHah, but he was expected. LeHah blasted him with armor piercing bullets. He fell from the penthouse balcony into a parade on the streets below. Valley crawled to his son's door and bestowed Azrael upon him.
