The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl Web site unveiled two Assist Trophy characters today in the form of Waluigi from the Mario series and Stafy from from the Japan-only series Densetsu no Stafy. 
Stafy, the prince of the heavenly seas, appears on the battlefield and performs sparkling spin attacks against foes. Unlike other Assist Trophies, Stafy can be attacked, but the attacker will likely incur damage as a result.
Waluigi will dash at his enemies and stomp them into the ground, effectively paralyzing them temporarily. He will finish with either a strong kick or a swing of his tennis racket.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is expected to be released in Japan on January 24, 2008 and in the Americas on February 10, 2008. No specific release date has been given for PAL territories.
