OB Sport - 2007 Review

World Sailing Championships

  • Myles Dungan reports from Estoril in Portugal where Irish sailors qualified the first boats for the 2008 Olympics.


World Boxing Championships

  • Marty Morrisey was in Chicago for the World Championship which saw only one Irish competitor - Paddy Barnes - qualify for the Olympics.

The Athletics Year

  • The European Indoor Championship in Birmingham saw more success for David Gillic, while the World Outddors in Osaka saw the Irish team equip themselves admirably - with Eileen O'Keeffe's sixth place finish in the Hammer - a notable achievement.
