RTÉ Sport will present The RTÉ Sports Awards 2007 in association with The Irish Sports Council on Friday 21st December. The gala awards ceremony will be broadcast live from O'Reilly Hall in UCD on RTÉ One. Michael Lyster, Darragh Maloney and Joanne Cantwell will present a review of the sporting year and look back on the dramatic and memorable sporting moments of 2007. The night will see the year's most high profile sporting awards being presented to several Irish sport stars.

Reviewing all the high and lows of the championship year, with action footage from all the big games, this 90 minute special goes behind the scenes of a colourful summer, with selected interviews from the men at the front line who made it all happen. Among the big names who took time out from the trenches to open up to Des Cahill are Dónal Óg Cusack, Paul Flynn, Graham Geraghty, Mark Vaughan and Seán Óg Ó hAilpín.
