It was released on August_25, 2004. ==Storyline== A mysterious painter created a book with a mystical island called Amazing Island 1000 years before the game's present time and it was created through the painter's imagination. A tribe of people called Maboo thrived there until about 100 years ago, an evil race of demonic monsters known as Evilings started to appear and put curses on the Maboo, decreasing their population until there were hardly any left. When the Evilings took over the Island, they all merged together to create the Black Evil and the island was headed towards its doom until a Hero from the human world (Amazing Island takes place in the Dream world inside the book) came and destroyed the Black Evil and the island was at peace for some time until the Black Evil came back and started wreaking havoc once again. Calling for help, one of the Maboos summoned an eleven year old boy/girl from the human world to help save them once and for all. ==Game objective== To get through the game, you must create a monster (you can customize it more thoroughly the farther you progress into the game) and compete in many mini-games and complete them in order to get through the game. Once you clear a course, you usually face the Eviling in charge of the course and face off in a volleyball-like minigame. Once you win, you get an artifact called a Vision Orb. Vision Orbs are needed to beat the game. The farther you get into the game, the harder the courses become. ==The Game== When the game starts, The player may pick if he/she would like to be a male or female. The characters have preset names, (Andy or Michelle) but the player may change them if they wish. Soon after, the player may begin the journey to collect all of the Vision Orbs, and save Amazing Island! ==Customizing monsters== When you begin a new game, one of the Maboos in charge of bringing your monsters to life asks you a series of questions. When you are finished it creates a frame for you to choose from. Then it creates it outlines and body for you, and then you get to customize it by changing its color (pattern), eyes, voice and accessories. When you are done creating the monster you gain a chance star which gives you another chance at beating the mini-game in case you fail to complete the goal. After the first course set is finished, an interface is unlocked for "drawing" monsters. This interface improves with your progress through the game. Such improvements are line, stamp, and size tools. ==Accessories== When you complete courses you unlock new ways to modify a monster. You usually get a new type of accessory like Cat's eyes or a ring or collar, etc. You can also unlock new frames by completing courses as well. Example frames are: Dinosaur, Dog, Hamster, Hero, and Dragon. You are truly free to use your imagination to create the monster to look like anything you want it to look like. Accessories can also improve the monster's stats, making courses easier to complete or harder depending on the objective. There are 30 patterns, 20 voices, and 150 accessories. For an exsample patterns such as rusted armor and feather and for voices such as magic lord or alien and accessories such as elephant trunk or shp keeper helmet but theres more! ==Other Notes== The player gains gold (G) from the mini-games depending on how well he/she did, also known as score. Potions are achieved when the player's score is between 700 and 1000 points. Accesories(etc.) are earned at 1000-1750. Preset monsters are earned at above 1750. Lower than 700 is failure. If the player fails at completing the mini-game, he/she loses a chance star. Once the player run out of chance stars they have the quit the entire course and play again from the very first mini-game. Once he/she completes a course, the player unlocks the next one. The the shopkeeper in the area appears and the player can purchase things like potions, accessories, voices, patterns and eyes for his/her monster. Also, according to the box the game comes in, there are 30 different mini-games in the game to play. The player can also play the games in multiplayer mode, although money and other benefits are not gained. Connection with the Game Boy Advance yields a turn-based card game. Items are gained in this mode (just like other mini-games), but can only be viewed as "Gold Chest ##" or "Bronze Chest ##." Move cards are earned in this mode to give the player's monter's moves, similar to HMs in Pokémon.
Also, many of the mini-games require lots of "button-mashing" ("A" & "B" buttons only) and some timing in certain events. Category:2004_computer_and_video_games Category:GameCube-only_games
