Teen Activities

There are many fun activities for teens in Concord as well as opportunities to explore and engage in community service, the local job market and City government. Educational opportunities help teens better prepare for academic success in middle school, high school and college.

Middle School and Afterschool
Recreational Programs

The Mt. Diablo CARES After School Program operates at most middle schools in the City of Concord. This program is a collaboration between the City of Concord and the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, which provides both academic and enrichment programming for youth and teens throughout the school year and summer.

At Pine Hollow Middle School the New Recreation After School Program (RAP), provides middle school teens an opportunity to participate in academic tutoring, enrichment, and sports activities after school. Starting in the 2006-07 school year, the program has been expanded to offer programming Monday to Friday, 2:45-5:30 p.m.
