Art Linson was born in Chicago and grew up in Hollywood. His most recent novel is What Just Happened?: Bitter Hollywood Tales from the Front Line. He was formerly a record company entrepreneur, he managed such rock acts as Spirit and Nils Lofgren before starting his own record company, Spin Dizzy Records. Linson then became a movie producer and his credits include The Untouchables, Heat, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Fight Club and Scrooged. In 1995 he wrote his first book, A Pound of Flesh: Perilous Tales of How to Produce Movies in Hollywood. |
