Al Thornton made his first eight shots, and scored 18 of his 24 points in the second quarter to help the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors 99-89 in an NBA pre-season game Sunday night.

Aldridge leads Blazers past Hawks

LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points and nine rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 102-89 victory over Atlanta on Sunday, the Hawks' first loss in four pre-season games.
