The World Theatre Directory online is a tool for international cooperation in the performing arts. It reflects the rich diversity of theatre cultures throughout the world.

Along with practical information on International Theatre Institute (ITI) member organisations and a brief account of recent theatre developments in each country, the Directory provides detailed data on Festivals, Theatres, Theatre Training, Resource Centres and Publications.

Every country is invited to make its various activities in the performing arts known through the World Theatre Directory. This dynamic data base is updated regularly with the cooperation of members of the International Theatre Institute network. The Directory was created by ITI which expresses its appreciation to UNESCO, Division of Arts and Cultural Enterprise, for its collaboration and support.
