Rwanda: Legacy of genocide
During the genocide that began in 1994, Rwandan women were subjected to widespread and unrelenting sexual violence perpetrated by members of the Hutu militia groups known as the Interahamwe. The photojournalist Jonathan Torgovnik, who has spent two years tracking down, photographing and interviewing these women and their children.
