For the past 22 years, TSN has been a strong supporter of Special Olympics Canada, helping generate awareness and support fundraising efforts for the organization and its worthwhile and rewarding programs.

TSN continued its support in 2006 with Special Olympics Day - a day of programming dedicated to honouring the inspirational achievements of Special Olympics athletes across Canada. Throughout the day, TSN personalities hosted a variety of short features and vignettes recognizing Special Olympics athletes from across Canada, including interviews with the athletes.

The day also featured a two-hour special entitled Special Olympics Day on TSN. Hosted by Vic Rauter and Jennifer Hedger, the show celebrated the accomplishments of Canadian Special Olympics athletes, coaches and volunteers.

The Special Olympics Festival is an entertaining and rewarding gala fundraiser for the Special Olympics and has been a key component since 1987. Hundreds of TSN and ESPN Classic staff have donated their time and effort to help making the Auction a huge success every year.

Over the years, TSN has televised both the Canadian and World Special Olympics Games and Special Olympics World Summer Games. Special Olympics athletes have also appeared on TSN's highly acclaimed sports talk show Off The Record.
