Super Bowl XLII

NFL

The New York Giants put an end to the New England Patriots' pursuit of perfection with a 17-14 win in Super Bowl XLII. Eli Manning continued his strong play and helped put together an amazing fourth quarter drive to win the game for New York. He was rewarded by being named the game's MVP.

Almost Perfect

The New England Patriots came close but in the end, they could not pull it off. The New York Giants ended the Pats perfect run in Super Bowl XLII. New England still put together an amazing season and took a run at what would have been the new benchmark for NFL success. The Patriots’ dynamic duo of Randy Moss and Tom Brady set major single season records. Moss broke Jerry Rice's record for touchdown catches in a season and Brady claimed the mark for most touchdown passes in a season, breaking Peyton Manning's record.
