Linksys WRT350N wireless router with Storage Link
Although the Linksys WRT350N router offers some interesting and compelling features, its performance is slow compared to the competitions'. If you're after the fastest Draft-N router available, this isn't it.

Belkin N1 Vision
The Belkin N1 Vision router makes great strides in user-friendliness, but drops the ball when it comes to performance.
Specs: Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n (draft), 300 Mbps

D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router
The D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router is the fastest we've seen, but we're still reluctant to recommend it as it's based on an unfinished wireless spec.
Specs: IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n (draft), Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b

Linksys WRT150N Wireless-N Home Router
The Linksys WRT150N is a great router option for those who want the range improvement of 11N but don't need the other features--or the steep price tag.

Trendnet Wireless N-Draft Router
The Trendnet TEW-631BRP's throughput scores led the pack of Draft N routers, but hold your horses and wait to see how the 802.11n spec pans out.
Specs: Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11n (draft), IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11b, Ethernet, 300 Mbps

D-Link RangeBooster N 650 Wireless Router
Though inconsistent, the D-Link N 650 router performed admirably overall compared to its Draft N competition. Still, we are unimpressed with how it measures up to the promise of 802.11n. Pass on this for now; in fact, pass on all Draft N routers until the spec is finalized.
Specs: Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11n (draft), Ethernet, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11b

Belkin N1 Wireless Router
With its easy-to-grasp status icons, up-to-date security options, and stellar support, the Belkin N1 router is on the path to 802.11n wireless networking stardom, but like other Draft N devices, its performance fails to impress.
Specs: IEEE 802.11n (draft), IEEE 802.11g, Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, Fast Ethernet, 300 Mbps

Linksys WRT54GX4 with SRX400
If you have to have the fastest short-range router immediately, the WRT54GX4 is a good choice. But if you need a good long-range or mixed-mode performer, you're better off looking at the Belkin Pre-N router (the long-range champ).

Netgear WNR834B RangeMax Next Router
Though its maximum throughput is solid and its speed at long range is respectable, the Netgear WNR834B's mixed-mode speed is not. Save your cash until more Draft N routers make it through CNET Labs.
