Vandalism Update I have banned 2 IP adresses who seem to be the ones who keep adding loads of crap to the main page. I have also (for the time being) protected the main page so only Sysops can edit it. Hopefully not a long term solution but we will see how it goes. Chesterw 02:38, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

Getting Started

Chester is the county town of Cheshire, England. It is situated on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, and is one of the best-preserved walled cities in the country. This site started on 8th February 2007 to provide a central point for information relating to Chester, including reviews, articles and tourist information.

First, check out the Chester Wiki Guide — this is a good place to start!

A Wiki is a linked set of pages that anybody can edit and contribute to without knowing anything about websites. Wikipedia is the prime example of a successful wiki project. Also, check out How Wikis Work for some information on the philosophy of wiki.

Feel free to make new pages — just remember to link them. Also, if you don't know where to start or don't have any ideas, check out what pages we need or head over to the forum and see what needs to be done.

Saturday night baby! SAT-UR-DAY-NIGHT! Chester on a Saturday night is something to behold that’s for sure. As youngsters from Chester, North Wales and Warrington congregate within the city walls intent on getting wasted. Watch out Brannigan’s – they’re coming to get you!

Not quite so for this little bar come club come pub. more >

Pacino's (going since 1986) used to be a real gem with an excellent reputation as a rugged traditional Italian with first class service and a loyal following. I was a regular for many years and looked forward to going back when offered a 'treat' by my partner. Their own website is here but the wine list on the site is a bit out of date (the section in house is far bigger) and the prices quoted on the website do not seem current. more >
