A major concern of Bhakti-tirtha Swami's is how we can develop strong, caring communities that also allow devotees to flourish individually.

Born in Cleveland, Bhakti-tirtha Swami appeared on television as a child evangelist and later joined Dr Martin Luther King Junior's civil rights movement. He received a degree in Psychology from Princeton University and helped co-ordinate the 7th Pan African Congress. He is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, has written a number of books, and lectures worldwide.

A set of eight lectures examining the Srimad-Bhagavatam according to the ten subjects outlined in Jiva Goswami's Tattva Sandarbha.

Bhakti Caitanya Swami first met devotees while at university in Auckland. In 1972 he left New Zealand and later took initiation from Srila Prabhupada.

In 1980 Bhakti Caitanya Swami went to South Africa to serve as Temple President at Cato Ridge and to help with the overseeing of the construction of the Sri Sri Radha-Radhanath Temple project.

He has taught at Vrindavana Institute for Higher Education and lectures extensively worldwide.

Sometimes controversial, often challenging, Jayadvaita Swami looks at how to use our society's obsession with news as a way to share Vaisnava philosophy and teachings.

Jayadvaita Swami received initiation from Srila Prabhupada in 1968 and took sannyasa in 1978. He served as an editor or assistant editor for nearly all the books of Srila Prabhupada published during Srila Prabhupada's lifetime.

Since 1988 he has served as a director of Srila Prabhupada's publishing house, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. From 1991 to 1998 he was editor in chief of Back to Godhead magazine and recently served as editor for a three-volume translation and commentary for Sri Brhad-bhagavatamrta, a sixteenth-century Sanskrit philosophical and devotional work.

He travels widely, teaching about the philosophy and culture of Krishna consciousness.

Srila Jiva Gosvami was the most prolific of the Six Gosvamis of Vrndavana. Through his six Sandarbhas, he established Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's movement on a firm philosophical foundation. This course begins with an overview of Srila Jiva Gosvami's life and accomplishments, focusing on his commentary on the first four aphorisms of the Vedanta-sutra. These lectures take a close look at the philosophical techniques and arguments he uses, with the purpose of deepening our understanding of Krsna consciousness.

Radhika Raman Dasa, at the age of 21, recently completed a PhD at Oxford University's theology department. His field of study was Jiva Goswami's sandarbhas.

Ravindra Svarupa Dasa applies his sharp intellect to examine the flaws in Mayavada (impersonal) philosophies in Eastern and Western thought.

Ravindra Svarupa Dasa (William H. Deadwyler, III) joined ISKCON in 1971 in Philadelphia, USA, where he has served for most of his devotional career. He was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in 1971 and earned a PhD in Religion from Temple University in 1980. He has been a member of the ISKCON Governing Body Commission since 1987.

Ravindra Svarupa Dasa's particular focus is on educational development within ISKCON, academic preaching and spiritual counselling. His writings have been published in numerous academic publications and ISKCON publications, including ICJ and BTG. He is married, has three children and two grandchildren.

Appreciating Srila Prabhupada

In this seminar we explore the history of ISKCON and Srila Prabhupada as Founder-acarya, Srila Prabhupada as a preacher and his life, how to promote knowledge of Prabhupada's life to people in general, and discuss which aspects of Srila Prabhupada's example are helpful in our own lives.

Urmila Devi Dasi (Edith E. Best) joined ISKCON in 1973 in Chicago. Her primary work has been in the area of education. In 1982–3 in Detroit, Michigan, she and her husband started an ISKCON primary school, which gradually grew to include secondary students, where she served as Principal for eight years. She went on to found another primary and secondary school in North Carolina in 1990, where she continues to be the Principal. She has for many years written on education for ISKCON's Back to Godhead magazine, where she is also associate editor.
