Born in 1970, Tom is native of Vienna, Austria. He developed an avid interest in military aviation already at a very young age, evolving into aviation journalist and historian, specialized in Middle Eastern and African air forces during his military service and while working in transportation business, in southern Europe and the Middle East, in the 1990s. Tom authored and co-authored five books about history of Iranian and Iraqi, various Arabic and African air forces, and several dozens of articles to related topics, published in the USA, UK, Germany, Austria, France, and Brazil. Interest in drawing aviation artworks developed over the time, together with artistic skills, and especially out of requirement to illustrate own publications.
