Do not bother

Pros: As is none. There was a time when Bearshare was about as good as it got but no more.

Cons: Full of spyware and what you download cannot be burned in a program like Nero because the mp3 file is saved as a special Bearshare file. Instead of a music icon, you will have a bearshare icon which will "ONLY" play on your computer and will not work in your CD creation software. What use is the program then? I download to burn not just to sit at the computer and listen.

Don't chance it

Pros: Nothing so great another is not better and at least a good program can be completely uninstalled.

Cons: It did not work. On uninstall it has left so many registry entries that anytime I want to open a video file...it pops up and tells me Video Player has to shut down----well I guess so the program has been uninstalled. What it has left in the registry is causing a left click to use Total Video as the default even though it is not there. I now must use a right click and open with command to choose a program in the computer. It is a piece of Junk.

Not nearly what it was

Pros: Nothing except there is more songs to choose from.

Cons: It loads your computer with more spyware than before and what you download CANNOT be burned on CD unless you pay for a license which is embedded in the music file. You may only play the file on your computer but it prevents you of using the file in any other way. Better to use Morpheous or limewire. This is a wolf in sheep's clothing---if you have to pay for songs why is it loading you down with spyware?

Do Not replace the old version

Pros: It still finds files quickly.

Cons: It has now gone the route of mostly telling you a file cannot be downloaded and then directs you to a site to purchase the song, etc. I quickly did a system restore and brought back the old Morpheus and now it will download anything I find. DO NOT UPGRADE TO THIS OR ANY HIGHER VERSION. If you do prepare to lose the real ability of a P2P network. You have been warned.

Description is misleading

Pros: It syncs well.

Cons: This was used on a home computer with external backup--it worked well at first but then I hit some kind of commercial limit on the functions. Now I am on disability and make 12,000 a year so there is no way this is a commercial application here. Now it has stopped functioning and the company refuses to answer my emails--so I will assume it was put out there only to give you a few days taste and then just decide to stop until you bought the paid version. I suppose I will have to uninstall and find a more reputable company who makes such a product as I am not even willing to buy from Siber Systems now. I do not care for the tactics.
