Doing up Def Jux
Few rap rosters are as solid as New York 's Def Jux label, started in the '90s by former Company Flow MC El-P. The music plays to the tastes of both indie-rap connoisseurs and more mainstream heads with it's innovative beats that are slightly apocalyptic, yet well-controlled.

Their debut album is entitled Cold Summer but Corporate Thugz Entertainment/Def Jam collective U.S.D.A. were servin' up nothin' but heat inside Studio C. Group members Blood Raw and Slick Pulla talk shop about their affiliation with multiplatinum rapper Young Jeezy and what to expect from them in the near future.

We knew Prince was down to party, but we didn't know it was with the Green party. Title track "Planet Earth" leaves no question of his position on global warming, while shiny pop riffs on "Guitar" prove his love for our planet's resources. Once again, Prince delivers a timely, funky crowd pleaser.
Nelly Furtado
With her Loose album of 2006 charting at least three hot singles -- including the Timbaland-guested hip-pop gem, "Promiscuous" -- Nelly Furtado is on fire. The Canadian-born songstress finally embarks on a U.S. tour promoting the CD this summer, apparently a full fledged production inspired by Miami.
Daft Punk
By popular demand, dance music's helmet-wearing heroes known as Daft Punk have launched a comeback, inspiring a slew of producers such as Justice. Thanks to Vice Records, a remix of the seminal jam "Human After All" is available for you to take home. Enjoy!
