SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
FOR THE BALTIMORE CHRONICLE
Feature articles should be original and thought-provoking. We prefer stories on topics that have not yet [or ever] been reported. We are also interested in first-person travel reports to out-of-the-way places (highlighting how people live, and the problems they confront, more than discussions about amenities such as restaurants and museums). Length: 2,000 words maximum, shorter if possible.
Local events in Baltimore City and surrounding counties should be emailed to us, with no attachments. Please present the basic details of your event in the first paragraph: who, what, when, where, how, why, how much, who benefits, how to contact. Please do not use all caps.
Commentary pieces are always of interest, and should relate to current events. Please bring something original to the discussion. Also, please avoid pettiness, nastiness, and obscenities.
Opinion pieces on films and books are sometimes accepted. We do not mind if the book or film was issued in the past, so long as the content can be related to current events.
