About OTR
One Thousand Reasons is dedicated to documenting the many failures of the Bush administration. His policies represent the far-right wing of his party, which if left unchecked will send America into a new Dark Age of intolerance and mistrust of science. This radical faction, which consists of an unlikely coalition of war hawks, born again Christians, and corporations has been responsible for degrading the environment, sending us into a thoroughly unnecessary war, plunging us into debt, and reducing our individual liberties.

George Bush is not the brains behind this retro drive to the right. Instead, a large segment of American society has for some reason given up the values that have traditionally defined America: peace, prosperity, justice, fairness, cooperation, and respect. While claiming a "moral victory" by electing Bush to a second term, they have clearly rejected a more inclusive definition of morality. Many of us -- Democrats, Greens, Socialists, moderate Republicans, Libertarians -- believe that America can be a great country once again, but not unless we can overcome the forces of darkness that have imprisoned us for these past few years of the Bush administration.

One Thousand Reasons is fighting this fight.
