Jamaican Police: No Foul Play in Coach's Death

June 12, 2007 · Jamaican police say Pakistani cricket coach Bob Woolmer was not murdered during a March competition, but instead died of natural causes. Woolmer died in Jamaica after the high-ranked Pakistani cricket team was dealt a humiliating defeat in the Cricket World Cup.

Jeff Stern founded the California High School Skateboard Club two years ago, and is pushing for a national league.

 

Spurs, Cavs Begin NBA Championship Series

June 7, 2007 · The National Basketball Association's championship series starts Thursday night between the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs. The Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Detroit Pistons to get there, announcing the arrival of its star player, LeBron James, as a super star.

Anaheim Ducks Take Stanley Cup

June 7, 2007 · The Anaheim Ducks are the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup champions. In California, the Ducks beat the Ottawa Senators 6-2. They played five games in the playoffs. Ducks Captain Scott Niedermayer was named Most Valuable Player. This is the first time a California team has won the Stanley Cup.
