Paris Hilton Heads Back to Court After Early Release

June 8, 2007 · Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is out of jail after just three days of a 45-day sentence. Hilton was sent home early Thursday morning with an electronic ankle bracelet. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's office says her release was due to an undisclosed medical condition. Now, the judge in the case has ordered the heiress back to court to decide whether she should return to jail.

 

Kiwi Comedian Brings 'Smash Hit' Projects to U.S.

June 7, 2007 · Jemaine Clement, one half of New Zealand's fourthmost popular folk-parody duo, has a lot on his plate this summer: Eagle Vs. Shark, a new indie comedy to rival Napoleon Dynamite; a comedy sketch show on HBO launching June 16; and, later this summer, a digi-folk-parody comedy CD, "Flight of the Conchords," from Sub Pop records. Clement is a smash hit in New Zealand and hopes to succeed in the U.S. as well.
