Resolution Comparison (thanks to rev for image)
ROM : ROM means "Read Only Memory" -- but for Sharp, ROM means "Operating System"
FEED : A "feed" is just a location where programs are available (for download/installation).
A proper feed has a file anmed "Packages" that describes the contents and allows package managers to work better/properly.
FLASH : To "flash" means to install a ROM.
WIKI : "wiki wiki" means quick. On the web, it usually means users can edit the contents of web pages.
BRICK : To "brick" a Zaurus means that the unit had to be sent to Sharp for servicing. If you reflash or restore and the Zaurus is better, you did not "brick" it.
The ARM chip used in the 5500 was the StrongARM. This CPU was developed by DEC with an instruction set licensed from ARM.
When DEC merged with Compaq, Intel bought DEC's semiconductor unit (including the StrongARM).
Subsequently, Intel upgraded the StrongARM line, and renamed it to XScale.

The PXA250 has a "cache" problem, so its use is disabled. Some claim that the cache isn't all that useful anyway. Others claim great speed improvements with PXA255 w/ working cache. YMMV
The 6000 specs are not verified (07/MAR/2004)
Reports that new[er] 5600s purchased through Amazon have been received with PXA255.
