February 15: Han Sup Shin stalks Mayor Gavin Newsom at his apartment building on Valentine’s Day. A restraining order is issued against the forty-two-year-old man.

February 8: Astronaut Lisa Nowak is accused of attempted murder. Nowak had allegedly stalked the victim because she believed her to be a rival for the love of a Navy commander.
