Fabiola Kim started playing violin when she was five, and just three years later she won a concerto competition. "I feel so honored to be able to be a messenger of great composers, "Fabiola says. "If my performances affect people and tell them something pure and real, nothing could be better!" She plays the "Devil's Trill" Sonata by Tartini.

Jay Dubin's dream is to play in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. When his class took a field trip to the Met to see La Boheme Jay was stunned. "The whole experience took my breath away," he says. "I fell in love." His other love is Klezmer music. Jay regularly performs with professional Klezmer musicians. He plays music from the Sonata No.1 in F minor, Op.120, by Brahms.

Julia Sheriff, 16, admits she can't bear to be away from the piano. "My family went to Costa Rica for a vacation last year, and I was nervous the whole time," she says. "I brought a score with me just in case I came across a piano, and I wound up spending a lot of time sitting on my bed tapping the fingerings." She plays music from Gargoyles, by Lowell Liebermann.

Maria Markovitch began piano lessons at age six, but changed her mind when she discovered the vast possibilities of the organ. "I liked the organ better because I could change the sounds with the stops and pedals," she says. Maria is the organist with the Youth Chamber Orchestra from Temple University's Preparatory Division. With the orchestra, and violinist Fabiola Kim, she plays the Chaconne for Violin, Organ and Strings by Tomaso Vitali.

From the Top host Christopher O'Riley has a penchant for sophisticated pop music. He's made his own piano arrangements of music by Radio Head, Elliott Smith and George Harrison. His latest pop inspiration is the moody music of the late English singer-songwriter Nick Drake. O'Riley plays his version of Drake's "River Man."
