Marcus new executive vp at Relativity

CANNES -- Andrew Marcus has been promoted to executive vp at Relativity Media.
The move was announced from by the company's principal, Ryan Kavanaugh.
Marcus joined Relativity in summer 2005 and helped Kavanaugh structure and oversee several transactions, including the financing packages Gun Hill Road I, Gun Hill Road II and Beverly Blvd., Relativity's five-year co-financing deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
"Andrew has proven himself to be a very valuable asset to Relativity," Kavanaugh said.
Marcus worked as an independent producer and financial consultant and as a production executive at GreeneStreet Films, where he helped manage production on such films as "In the Bedroom" and "Swimfan." He began his career at Miramax Films.
