The
nature reserve is animal type, with
an area of 640,000 hectare, and the
chief protection objects are red deer
and its ecological system. The nature
reserve lies in the north east of Tibet
and the upper part of Lancang River.
Wild red deer is big rare animal, which
is under key protection of state and
Tibet. In the early 70s, Tibet set up
the first training center of red deer.
Now, red deer has decreased in China.
However, more than 1,000 wild red deer
concentrated in Tibet Riwoqe Nature
Reserve.
