Our children’s' information service (CIS) is a free telephone information and advice service to parents and carers who need childcare in the Leeds. If you want to call in and see us please do so during office hours at 6th floor East, Merrion House, 116 Merrion Way, Leeds LS2 8DT or telephone us on 0113 2474386.

We hold information on all registered childcare providers; childminders, nurseries (Leeds City Council early years and children’s centres, private, independent and voluntary sectors) out of school clubs, holiday playschemes and playgroups. We also provide information on parent and toddler groups and information on leisure and sports activities for young people.

If you contact us we will send you a list of childcare information near to your home or work postcode. We will also send you leaflets about choosing the type of childcare that suits your needs.

The Leeds CIS website offers all of the above services including:- a map search to find the childcare in your area, childcare job vacancies, information on the nursery education grant, career and training opportunities in childcare and information for childcare providers.

The Leeds CIS also provides information on services for children and families - The Leeds children and families resource directory. This booklet contains over 500 organisations from the statutory, health and voluntary sectors that provide services for children and families in Leeds.
