LED ZEPPELIN'S INFLUENCES
Hey, Hey, What Can I Do

Led Zeppelin's "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" quotes "Boogie Chillun" by John Lee Hooker. Robert Plant just uses the phrase as a fill at the end of the chorus but no other part of the song is used in "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do". "Boogie Chillun" was clearly a reference point for Led Zeppelin, though. Zep covered "Boogie Chillun" in concert, often as part of a medley with other songs that had influenced them. Both How the West Was Won and BBC Sessions have extended versions of "Whole Lotta Love" that incorporated medleys of such songs, including "Boogie Chillun". "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" is available on the four-disc box set Led Zeppelin and on the extended Coda included in the box set The Complete Studio Recordings. In other words, you have to shell out a lot of money if you want to have this track on disc.
