I am a South Africa lover, a South Africa fanatic or whatever you like to call such passionate people who are obsessed with this country. I have visited nearly every spot in this lovely country South Africa, experienced many different safaris, visited near to as good as every game game reserve this country has to offer, walked in its mountains and sat on its beaches. I tend to prefer the little guest houses and B&Bs; for accommodation but this country offers so much diverse accommodation that there is something for every taste. From 5 star hotels to luxury bush camp accommodation and in between you will find self catering, camping, treehouses, self contained cottages, guest houses, b&bs;, country inns, country estates and lot more.

I cannot say I have travelled everywhere in the world but I have seen a fair bit and a lot of Africa. But nowhere in the world have I found the diversity of South Africa. And now with so many tourists discovering this beautiful paradise I would like my experience and knowledge of South Africa to be passed on to everyone interested in visiting this country.
So that's what this site is about. South Africa and every aspect of South Africa that I know about. For the tourist South Africa offers a dazzling variety of attractions - from sandy beaches to arid bushveld, from tropical wetlands to spectacular mountain scenery. Whether you wish to laze in the sun, swim, track the "Big 5", hike along the coast or in the mountains, see wild flowers in profusion, savor good food and wine of simply take in the history and culture of one of the worlds most talked about societies. South Africa is a world in one country and has that special something to offer you.
Statistics South Africa has estimated that the South African population is approximately 45 million people. It is a melting pot of cultures with 11 official languages and has strong influences from India, China, Malasia and Europe. There are many fascinating forms of dance, music song and theatre from every cultural group. The cuisine of South Africa can be enjoyed in many of the South African restaurants. And the wealth of arts and crafts produced by talented South African artists are for sale in the many flea markets, art galleries and even street corners.
Just 10 years ago this country underwent a massive political change and has since emerged to be an open and highly tolerant society. It seems to have left that past of apartheid behind it and is looking positively into the future. Sure there are a few problems and the reformation is by no means over but this rainbow nation of South Africa is building its future which is simply alive with possibility.
Eco-tourism is the fastest growing segment of the South African tourism industry. It unlocks the natural and cultural assets of the environment to the visitor and generates foreign exchange for the promotion and conservation of South Africa's ecological resources, Eco-tourism includes bird watching, nature photography, hiking and mountaineering, visits to cultural heritage villages and sites of San (bushman) rock art.
One of the best ways to explore the full spectrum and diversity of South Africa is to do so on foot. South Africa offers a well developed hiking trail system with options ranging from relaxing nature walks to strenuous rugged wilderness trails. You have just got to see what the Drakensberg has on offer. Horse trails are another option affording a unique way of experiencing South African nature and wildlife. Wild animals are generally not frightened by the presence of horses thus offering the opportunity to approach closely without harm. Several South African game reserves offer day trails and even overnight trails.
Sometimes I think that building this site was just a great excuse for me to to get out there and do some more waking, and travel some more of the back roads that this so beautiful South Africa has to offer.
So just what is my favorite of everything that the South Africa has to offer?
Everything is! You see, every trail, every aspect, every part of South Africa is different, each with its own qualities that makes it special.
