Head Start kids get a healthy boost Feb 13 - EPA and the Department of Health and Human Services have a new partnership that will educate families about risks to children from secondhand smoke and other environmental asthma triggers. Approximately 20 percent of children with asthma are exposed to secondhand smoke in their homes.

If you use a woodstove or fireplace, make sure the fire is completely out and cold before you close the flue damper, to prevent buildup of smoke and carbon monoxide in your home.
