The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Review

The first original Zelda title for the Game Boy Advance proves that Nintendo's magic is well and alive.

Great, but not memorable.

Being a die hard Zelda fan I've come to expect that when I'm finished with the game that I come away not with just the idea that I beat another game, but that I experienced something truely emotional and deep. To me the Minish Cap didn't provide that fufillment. It's to date the only Zelda game I've yet to feel the need to go back and collect everything and explore all of what the game has to offer. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but no where near the Zelda status we've come to know and love.

If you want a truely amazing portable Zelda experience look into Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, or Oracle of Seasons - not this.

I love every minute of this game. I'm so proud of myself for actually finishing it. It's your typical Zelda adventure game. Not sure why it took so long to get a new adventure onto the GBA, but it was totally worth the wait.

If you could own only one GBA title, I'd say make it Zelda: Minish Cap. It's so uniformally kick-ass, I just can't figure out how they managed to squeeze so much awesome into one tiny portable game.
